When you export to MS Word, citation information as well as the added sources are carried over and are formatted based on your desired settings. With standard templates such as APA, MLA, Chicago and more, users can reference and cite research, and create a polished Word document complete with a bibliography and formatted heading / font styles depending on the chosen template.
Having the ability to include constants greatly improves the calculation module introduced in MindView. Constants can be thought of as "X" being equal to a certain value. You can then call "X" in a later equation and run calculations based on its value. This is great for currency conversions or itemized budgets. When exporting to MS Excel, the constants are carried over and listed in a legend, improving the accuracy of your MS Excel export.

MindView's Outline view has always been a great way to quickly get a linear overview of your mind map. With a unique Outline Tools tab, you can quickly find Outline commands to further customize your Outline projects as needed.
When viewing a MindView project in the Outline view, MindView 5 now allows you to display the text notes directly under the branch name headings. This further relates the text notes to the respective branches enhancing the overview capability of a project when working in the Outline view.
Under the Outline Tools tab, you can now increase or decrease the font size used in the Outline view. This helps visually impaired viewers as well as in presentation scenarios when viewers are farther back from the presentation screen.
When re-arranging branches in the Outline view, you can now use the in-dent, out-dent, move-up and move-down icons in the Outline Tools tab to quickly rearrange topics as needed.
MindView's Gantt view has always been a powerful assistive tool for project managers to create a proper schedule. With the introduction of a unique Gantt Tools tab in MindView 5, you can quickly find Gantt Chart commands to further customize your Gantt Chart projects as needed.

MindView 5 now supports individual resource calendars, letting you define the working and non-working time of each of your resources making your scheduling more accurate. Together with the project calendar, the resource calendars determine when work on the different tasks can be allowed to happen.
When defining the list of the resources to be used in your project, you can now associate a unit cost to each resource, letting you track the overall cost of the project. In addition to human resources, MindView 5 supports material resources that you need to carry out the project. Associating a unit cost to material resources lets you track the overall cost of your project in human as well as in material resources.
When viewing a project, you can now display a tasks overall work value, actual work value to date, and remaining work value directly on the branch. You can also display overall cost of the task, actual cost to date, and remaining cost. Use these values in the re-designed calculation module, helping to keep projects on budget.
MindView 5 now supports effort-driven scheduling, as well as task types such as Fixed Work, Fixed Duration and Fixed Units. This improves your scheduling capabilities, and is supported in the Microsoft Project integration.
If you want to keep a task in your project plan, but prevent it from affecting the project scheduling, you can now make it inactive. This can be useful if you are forced to remove some tasks from your project for budget or deadline reasons, but want to keep a record of them.
It is common for Work Breakdown Structure elements to be numbered sequentially to visualize the hierarchical structure. MindView 5 now allows you to associate the Root branch as number 1, and the Main branches as 1.1, 1.2, etc...
