“The traditional downside of drag-and-drop authoring tools is that developers are limited to the built-in feature set. Since version 6, Mediator EXP has shared two features in common with Director aimed at bridging this gap: scripting and ActiveX controls. Using VBScript or JavaScript, developers can add features or control Mediator objects in code.”

Fazit: Ein überzeugendes Konzept. “Die neuen Funktionen in Mediator Pro überzeugen auf ganzer Linie. Vieles wird einfacher, zum Beispiel das Skalieren von Projekten. Auch die Exportoptionen sind sehr gut.”

“Wer mehr als die von Powerpoint & Co. gebotenen Funktionen benötigt, der bekommt mit Mediator 6 Pro ein leistungsfähiges Werkzeug. Auch umfangreiche Projekte wie Lernprogramme, Quiz-Spiele und sogar Geschicklichkeitsspiele lassen sich damit umsetzen. Die Profi-Edition bietet über ODBC auch Zugriff auf Datenbanken und wichtige Objekte für die Programmierung ganz ohne Quellcode.”
